Download the Fair ProgramThe Yorktown Grange Fair Association is pleased to present the events and attractions for the 2011 fair. Among the highlights are our great musical line-up, the Yorktown Grange Fair antique farm equipment display and our fabulous livestock show with beautiful animals from area farms.
This year's special musical guests, The Smithereens, the chart-topping band who gave us great songs like "Only A Memory," "A Girl Like You," "Blood and Roses" and "Behind the Wall of Sleep" will take the stage on Saturday at 8 PM. Stop by for a rocking good time!
Our wonderful musical lineup includes something for everyone. Children's music with Annie & the Natural Wonder Band; 40s and 50s music with The Swing for Jazz Quartet; the region's premier southern rockers, The Sundown Band; the gritty New York sound of returning favorites The Thunder Road Band; local favorites Class Action, Us and Mojo Monde, and a new band currently on their first national tour, the Roadside Poets.
This year we are especially excited to introduce the Marvelous Mutts, a thrilling dog sport entertainment show that showcases some of the world’s finest canine athletes. All of The Marvelous Mutts were adopted from shelters and rescues and do their best to show that “any dog can be incredible!”
Chase's Racing Pigs — four miniature pot-bellied pigs running through their racetrack to the cheers of the audience — are returning this year! The last show of the day is a "piggy bi-athalon," with a swimming competition added to the race. These porcine athletes appear in events throughout the country and will compete in three races everyday during the day and evening from Thursday through Sunday.
Our Fair Midway is packed with rides and games, and the best food you've had all summer! Visit the 4-H building for special youth activities.
There's competition under the big tents in baking, flowers, produce, livestock, Legos, needlework, artwork and photography. (Click here for details about competitions.) So, pick a day to come out and enjoy the fair — we're looking forward to seeing you!
